General Manager | Permanent | £36,500 - £45,000 | Burton on Trent
We are proudly recruiting on behalf of our client based in the heart of Burton on Trent & Leicester.
Specialising in the manufacturing of fire doors. We are seeking an experienced and skilled manager from a production based background.
Working Monday to Friday 7am-5pm (and the occasional Saturday if required), based between two sites: Burton on Trent & Sileby (our client would prefer daily management for both sites, therefore we recommend starting the day at one site and finishing at the other).
What our client is looking for:
•3 years’ experience as a general manager or production manage within a similar industry.
•An experienced skilled manager who is good at motivating a team
•Hard working and approachable
•Safety driven and training staff on policies within the warehouses
•Passionate about quality and standards.
•Good problem solver and resolution finder
•Experience with factory audits (ISO)
Main Duties & Responsibilities:
•Running production and transport at both operations (Burton & Sileby)
•Completing factory checks, including machinery, health and safety, data inputting
•Factory audits (ISO)
•Vehicle checks and servicing
•Overseeing and managing all factory output
•Issuing production schedules
•Maintaining deadlines
•Managing and supporting production and transport staff
•Manage HR and personnel responsibilities & escalate when required
•Recruitment and selection input with all candidates joining the team
•Sales support
The salary range of £36,500 - £45,000 will be discussed at interview stage and will be based on experience.
