Our client, based in Devon, is currently recruiting for a Head of Asset Maintenance on a six – twelve-month temporary contract. The position is due to start in January with interviews being on the 11th/12th December. The day rate for this role is negotiable would be circa £500 a day via an Umbrella Company. The ideal candidate will need to have experience leading a public sector Asset Maintenance Service and would have to have been exposed to both commercial and domestic dwellings. Duties will include (but are not limited to): Lead the continuous improvement of the council’s Asset/Maintenance function that will include, Retrofit, Maintenance, Fund Asset Management, Capital Expenditure and Health and Safety Assist with the strategic delivery of the Asset Maintenance function, and assist in the communication of the business plans across the council Have line management responsibility for the Planned Works Manager, Repairs Manager, Asset Support Manager, Development Manager and Health & Safety Manager Lead the Assets Maintenance team by delivering a comprehensive asset management function in respect of the Council's diverse property portfolio and to contribute to the delivery and management of those estate management activities Have financial oversight of the capital expenditure budgets whilst establishing and implementing improvement programmes for the council’s domestic and commercial portfolios Adopt oversight for the constant professional improvement of all employees that work within the Asset Maintenance team and provide a clear pathway for colleagues to thrive at the council
