Newstaff Employment Services is recruiting for a Corporate and Business Tax focused manager with strong technical knowledge and experience operating in a commercial environment.
Main Function: You will be running a portfolio of compliance cases along-side the audit and accounts team. There will also be staff management and development involved.
The client base includes dealing with the tax affairs of a significant number of companies, partnerships, and sole traders.
Essential Requirements:
Candidates must hold the CTA qualification. ACA or ACCA would also be a useful qualification for the role.
Must have a minimum of 5 years Corporate and Business Tax experience within an accountancy practice.
Some experience of International Tax matters would also be useful.
Main duties will revolve around compliance work and will include the following:
• Liaising with clients on routine and ad-hoc assignments including correspondence by email, telephone and face to face meetings.
• Overseeing the collation of all the information needed to prepare the corporation and business/personal tax returns involving liaising with the audit teams, other third-party professionals and the clients themselves. Good communication and ability to build rapport is essential.
• Preparation and attendance at client meetings and ensuring all follow up work is carried out timely and appropriately taking into consideration budgets.
• Reviewing tax returns prepared by other members of staff for approval by the client.
• Overseeing the annual employment taxes returns completion i.e. forms P11D and ERS returns connected to the client portfolio.
IT Used:
•Preparation of returns and computations is wholly computerised, and the successful candidate will be expected to become fully conversant with Alphatax, Pro-Audit and the document management system (CCH).

• Strong technical knowledge and experience operating in a commercial environment
• Good organisational skills and will be required to organise their own work to ensure that all deadlines are met.
• Good computer skills including a sound knowledge of Word & Excel are required.

• Excellent communication, both written and verbal.
Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week
Salary: £55, pa to £70, pa + Benefits
