The Director of Subscriptions, Reuters Professional will be responsible for driving subscriptions revenue through subscriber acquisition, conversion and retention. About the Role
As our Director of Subscriptions, you will:
1. Develop and execute a global subscription acquisition and retention strategy
2. Lead marketing efforts to deploy ROI-driven paid acquisition and retention tactics
3. Perform continuous competitive market trends analysis to inform our strategy
4. Analyze audience data to define customer cohorts and inform marketing strategy and product development
5. Articulate the value of our offerings to current and future audiences
6. Deploy the right tools to engage and convert the Reuters audience (e.g. content personalization, registration, newsletters and more)
7. Develop real-time reports that provide a clear overview of how we are tracking against KPI's
8. Over time, build and manage a high-performing team that will serve as the subscriptions center of excellence across the organization
Key areas of responsibility include:
9. Hands-on management and accountability for subscriber acquisition and retention
10. Utilizing data and continuous testing to drive continuous improvement in average revenue per user (ARPU) and customer experience metrics
11. Partnering with editorial and product teams to modify, enhance and create services and products with the goal of increasing subscriptions revenue
Key Deliverables:
12. Develop an audience proposition with insight to guide product development
13. Develop and execute a subscriptions go-to-market strategy
14. Subscriptions revenue and ARPU targets and strategic plan to achieve the
15. Customer churn and retention targets and strategic plan to achieve them
16. Customer CAC and LTV targets and strategic plan to achieve them
17. Continuous testing plan for offers and conversion funnel with A/B parallel approach
18. Data driven analysis to continually improve audience acquisition, conversion and retention
About You
To be our Director of Subscriptions you will have:
19. Proven leadership experience working in the online media sector, ideally with strong record of accomplishments in the news sector
20. Proven ability to think strategically about business opportunities and future customer needs in the media industry
21. A hands-on approach and ability to work effectively at a detailed level
22. Proven track record in subscriptions acquisition, conversion and retention, ideally within an international or business news environment
23. Extensive data and analytical skills
24. Proven track record of success working in complex and highly matrixed corporate business environments
25. Experience working in a global organization.
