Our Specialist SEN Branch here at Teaching Personnel are currently working with a number of SEN schools in Cardiff and the surrounding areas. We support them with their recruitment process and there is a growing need for qualified Teachers who have an interest in starting their adventure within the Special Needs Sector.
What do you need to know about the role?
Teaching Personnel are looking to appoint a number of self-motivated, self-disciplined SEN teachers who are driven to provide the best school experience for children who have a wide range of Additional Learning Needs. In return the school will support you in your new role, providing training and support wherever possible and whenever needed. Our client school is a positive and energetic place that provides high quality Education whilst catering for Physical, Emotional and Social needs. The pupils have access to external agencies including Physiotherapists, Nurses, Speech & Language Therapists and Occupational Therapists. Within the school itself, they also have access to Hydrotherapy & Rebound Therapy. Their pupils are taught in an encouraging atmosphere surrounded by the aspirations and opportunities that allows them to develop as highly competent, resilient and determined young people.
The staff team are supportive of each other and innovation is encouraged with talents and ideas nurtured. They aim to create a safe learning environment for all who work there. The Leadership Team strive to create a no fear culture where open and honest self-reflection is expected for improvement and where excellence and going the extra mile is rewarded.

The successful candidate will:
* Have extensive knowledge and experience of working with children with Additional Learning Needs. Alternatively, we will consider applications from NQTs who have an interest of working with children who have Additional Learning Needs.

Worried you do not have specific experience teaching within an SEN school. We are looking to introduce a new teaching programme enabling NQTs to have the relevant opportunity to work within an SEN school gaining valuable experience before taking on their own class. Sounds great, doesn’t it?

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
