Onsite parking available Our client based in Cramlington, a world-renowned engineering company specialising in the repair and manufacture of parts, is looking for an Assembly and Test Fitter on an ad-hoc/ contract basis.
The Opportunity:
As an Assembly and Test Fitter you will be working alongside other Fitters to perform overhaul, repair, rebuild and testing functions on equipment and parts.
Main Responsibilities:
Repair and maintenance of components
Stripping down parts, cleaning, inspection and rebuilding
Testing rebuilt products in line with company procedures, ensuring specifications are met
Use of specialist equipment to carry out work
Creating detailed reports at each stage of work carried out, from initial inspection through to final inspectionSkills and Qualifications:
An Apprenticeship in Mechanical Engineering or related field is essential for this role
Ability to read and understand mechanical and technical drawings/ instructions
