Walker Rubber are seeking a Sales Manager to join our team. If you have a genuine curiosity in how things work and solving problems, whilst having an ability to make conversation with a wide range of people, this could be the opportunity you are looking for. You will have a large appetite to learn and develop whilst being diligent, ambitious, and driven. We are a small, hardworking, straight-talking team and it is important we find the right person to join the company to fulfil this key role.
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years business to business sales experience within an engineering or manufacturing business. Preferably the candidate will have a further education qualification in engineering along with relevant CAD experience, ideally Fusion 360.
What we do:
Walker Rubber is a manufacturer and supplier of industrial polymer products (rubber, plastic and polyurethane). The business operates in a wide number of industry sectors, providing polymer-based solutions to a vast range of engineering problems. Specialising in the manufacture of extrusion, mouldings and gaskets, the business is uniquely positioned to provide bespoke solutions on an exceptionally fast turnaround.
What you will do:
* Enquiry Handling - Reviews new enquiries, identifies required solution and create and deliver proposal in appropriate manner
* Quotations - Actively follows up all quotations to new prospects to handle objections in order to win first order
* Orders - Processes customer orders. Proactively monitors orders to ensure OTIF. Follows up with new customers on first order to ensure satisfaction to increase likely hood of further orders in the future
* Supply Chain - Handles relevant enquiries with Suppliers. Proactively manages supplier orders where required to ensure customer OTIF.
* Account Management - Monitors customer account spend and ordering patterns / history. Assists Finance department in credit control.
* Engineering - Ensures all relevant manufacturing information for orders is created and issued to factory.
* Communication - Deals with all type of communication in a timely and professional manner. Selects the correct type of communication method for the given situation.

Important Notes:
* We are a small business (10 people)
* The role is 100% office based
* We work a 4-day week, 0730-1700 Monday to Thursday and Tuesday to Friday on the bank holiday weeks
* £30-35k per annum basic salary depending on experience
