Job Advert: Staff Grade Doctor (MBBS Required) Location : Stanmore Salary : £65,000 per annum Eleo Talent is proud to partner with a highly regarded healthcare provider to recruit a Staff Grade Doctor for their mental health facility. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated medical professional to deliver high-quality clinical care within a multi-disciplinary team, supporting patients with complex needs on their recovery journey. Main Purpose The Staff Grade Doctor will work closely with a Consultant Psychiatrist, General Practitioner, and a multi-disciplinary team to provide person-centered care. The role focuses on implementing recovery-oriented treatment plans and ensuring the best outcomes for patients. Key Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric assessments under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist to determine the appropriate care level. Prepare comprehensive reports and documentation for meetings such as Care Programme Approach (CPA) reviews. Support the delivery of physical health care and emergency treatment alongside the GP for patients with complex needs. Arrange and review clinical tests, ensuring timely action on results. Participate in Clinical Governance activities and maintain Continuing Professional Development (CPD). Contribute to policy development, audits, and service improvement initiatives. Share responsibilities for tasks such as blood work and physical health observations. Work collaboratively with the hospital leadership to promote the service's reputation and attract stakeholders. Knowledge & Skills The ideal candidate will possess: An MBBS qualification (or equivalent) and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC). Foundation training and competencies, with demonstrated experience in psychiatry. Knowledge or experience in secure or step-down settings, preferably working within multi-disciplinary teams. The ability to work independently and make significant professional judgments. Highly developed communication skills to manage sensitive situations, including court hearings or mental health tribunals.
