Job summary
The post holder will have direct responsibility for planning and provision of the education of Cardiac Physiologists/Scientists including those undertaking formal training programmes such as PTP/STP/Apprenticeship programmes.
The post holder will be a cardiac physiology specialist who has extensive experience in non invasive and invasive cardiac diagnostic testing. They will work as part of the wider Cardiac Physiology team to ensure high quality service delivery for patients and consistent, high quality education across the Cardiac Physiology department
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be expected to oversee and manage the training scheme for:
1. PTP Healthcare Science (Cardiac Science)
2. STP Healthcare Science (Cardiac Science)
3. Apprenticeships in Healthcare Science (Cardiac Science)
4. Current substantive workforce training requirements
They will provide distance supervision, learning or support sessions to participants of any recognised Training Programme along with current substantive staff who require educational training opportunities

5. BSc Hons in Clinical Physiology or equivalence

8. Assessors award or equivalent teaching

9. Previous highly specialised cardiac physiologist experience in a broad range of basic and advanced cardiac investigations
10. Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience
11. Understands the role of Cardiac Physiology/Healthcare Science within the NHS
12. Ability to work autonomously
13. Able to organize own workload
14. Able to work under pressure and without peer support
15. Ability to acquire & communicate highly complex knowledge in challenging environments
16. Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
17. Working knowledge of various IT systems
