The Early Years Service and Family Hub Service
The service has an ambitious vision for families and children in the borough in which integrated universal and targeted services are developed through our Family Hubs, located in neighbourhoods across the borough. Based on local need, services are delivered from Family Hubs and across a family hub network of community partners and buildings, covering the whole of Camden. Locality Leaders work in a designated locality, leading prevention and early intervention services 0-19 and 25 with SEND. The Locality Leaders take a strategic approach to partnership working, as well as promoting and supporting the further integration of services to improve outcomes and reduce inequalities for children from their families.
About the role
You will provide strategic leadership to further develop family hubs and associated partnerships, using the principles of integration and an inclusive approach to service planning and delivery for families 0-19 or 25 with SEND. You will be responsible for leading and managing start for life services and workstreams for families in the first 1001 days in line with Camden's Best Start strategy. Reducing inequalities and focusing on improving access to support by families experiencing the most disadvantage will be a key priority.
About you
1. An experienced manager with the ability to take a strategic approach to service design and delivery.
2. Contribute to the overall development and direction of the Early Years and Family Hub Service, influencing service planning and design.
3. Provide leadership across the locality working to ensure that all provision is of high quality and contributes to improving children's outcomes in line with the outcomes framework for family hubs.
4. Further develop family hubs as trusted and welcoming places in the community where families can ask for help and information.
5. Lead and manage start for life services ensuring there is effective support for families in the first 1001 days and the early years.
6. Ensure family hub buildings effectively support the co-location of a wide range of professionals and identify opportunities for extending services for families with school age children.
7. Lead and manage a wide range of work streams and change programmes across the service ensuring effective use of resources.
