An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Support Officer in the East Kent 1 Fostering Support Team within the Kent Fostering Service. This is a permanent full-time position, based at Brook House, Reeves Way, Whitstable, incorporating hybrid working.
You will have good working knowledge of MS applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Teams. You will need to have good experience in creating and maintaining Excel Spreadsheets and confidence using database applications. You will demonstrate the ability to multi-task, have excellent diary management skills, and have a confident telephone manner. You will need to possess a high standard of spoken and written English.
Working within a confidential environment you will need to have excellent numeracy skills, attention to detail, and be able to work to financial procedures and best practice. You will have strong administrative and IT skills and the ability to collate and manage data. You will use your initiative to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines in a highly demanding environment. You will need to have the confidence and ability to deal with a variety of multi-disciplinary professionals on a range of matters and the ability to handle highly sensitive and confidential information. You should enjoy working as part of an effective team but also work independently to a high standard whilst working remotely.
