About the role
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Performing Arts Teacher to join our dynamic team in Dudley. The ideal candidate will have a deep love for the arts and a strong desire to inspire and nurture the next generation of performers. This role involves teaching students across a range of ages and abilities, developing their skills in drama, dance, and music.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in drama, dance, and music.
* Foster a creative and inclusive classroom environment that encourages students to express themselves and develop their talents.
* Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs.
* Organise and direct school productions, performances, and events.
* Assess students' progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development.
* Collaborate with colleagues to promote the performing arts within the school and the wider community.
* Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in performing arts education and incorporate these into your teaching practice.
Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
* A degree in Performing Arts or a related field.
* Experience teaching drama, dance, and/or music at the secondary school level.
* Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning environment.
Desirable:
* Experience directing school productions or performances.
* Additional qualifications or experience in a specific area of the performing arts (, choreography, music composition).

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* A PGCE in Teaching Performing Arts
