We are seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to work closely with a specific student, providing tailored support to help them excel academically and personally.
You'll be key in ensuring this student gets the individual attention they need to thrive.
Your responsibilities
* Provide 1:1 assistance to a student, adapting teaching methods to meet their unique needs
* Support the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery, ensuring the student stays engaged and on track.
* Implement strategies to manage and improve student behaviour, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
The essentials
* Previous experience working in an SEMH primary or secondary school, or with children with SEND
* Insight into trauma and adverse childhood experiences and their impact on children's behaviour.
* Ability to quickly build positive relationships with children based on mutual respect.
* Ideally, you will have Team Teach training
* An enhanced DBS check for the safety of students
* A relevant teaching and learning qualification
