We're looking for a passionate Global Functions Financial Controller to join our CFO Global Functions team to centrally provide key controls, governance, and assurance by ensuring the integrity of the reporting and control environment is maintained. This role will entail collaboration with a wide range of finance and business stakeholders to ensure adequate insight is available to the business leads.
The role encompasses the delivery of timely, accurate, and complete reporting along with ensuring that appropriate business forecasting is undertaken. This will be a highly visible role and will report to the Global Functions CFO.
This role is be based out of our Warwick office, and we'd hope to see you at least two days per week but you're welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We're happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
What You'll Do
* Accountable for TSA office for FSO for all global functions.
* Global allocations - creates/maintains regional policies on allocations with a regulatory and controllership view.
* Corporate centre - creates / maintains policy on what costs should reside here, guidance on what should/shouldn't get allocated to BU's, balance sheet and investment guidance, etc.
* Policy on capitalisation/A&G as well as tracking costs that do get capitalized and charged across the BUs to keep tabs on the 'true cost' (ie CAPEX and OPEX) of functions.
* NGED integration of functions/alignment on these areas.
* Define the 'controllable costs' policy for functions (or any revision to the KPI for functions). DOA for changes to the policy sits with the Group Financial Controller.
* Provide a bridge and overview between the financial and managerial financial statements and develop a top-down view of performance.
* Review and challenge budgets and provide input in terms of risks and opportunities for delivery.
* Develop the linkages between the regulatory requirements, financial plans, managerial performance and statutory reporting.
* Maintain overall supervision of the control environment within the global functions, ensuring that risk and controls recommendations are implemented.
* Maintain close liaison with other Centres of Expertise, developing business knowledge and technical acumen. Ability to resolve conflict to encourage good team spirit.
* Able to build effective relationships with key stakeholders and develop a strong network within both own functional area and the business they support.
What You'll Have
* Fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CPA etc.) with considerable post qualification experience.
* Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Experience in SOX controls.
* Experience in reporting financial information.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Proactive self-starter with ability to manage own and team workload, to time and desired levels of quality.
* Ability to challenge the status quo.
* Industry experience preferable.
* Experience in building and leading teams.
