Role Title : Commercial Hair & Beauty Technician
Location: Yale
Contract Type: Full Time, Fixed Term (Until Dec 2025)
Salary: £24,823 - £26,338
We currently have a vacancy for Commercial Hair & Beauty Technician on our Yale site. The main aspects of this role are to provide technical support for hair and beauty learning activities in curriculum workshops, commercial salons and off site venues (where appropriate). Technicians are responsible for ensuring learning materials, tools and equipment are sufficient for learning activities.
Essential Requirements
1. Prepare and maintain learning materials, work pieces, tools and equipment for issue to practical learning environments, e.g. curriculum workshops, commercial salons, appropriate off site venues.
2. Be proactive in keeping the workshop areas and technical store rooms tidy, with particular reference to tools, equipment and component storage.
3. Participate in ensuring a healthy and safe environment for the general welfare of students and visitors to the college.
4. Assist with installation, commissioning, maintenance and servicing of the workshop, machine tools, machinery and equipment.
5. Control, order and maintain records of workshop consumable stock, equipment and other salon resources using the centralised software database.
Welsh language skills are desirable for this position.
