Job Title: Geotechnical Area Manager
Location: North West - Greater Manchester
Contract Details: Permanent, full-time
Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 per year

Responsibilities:
1. Lead the delivery of ground investigation services in the Southern area office, ensuring projects are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget
2. Prepare tenders and manage projects both technically and financially
3. Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building relationships with clients
4. Coordinate and execute ground investigations, providing expertise and input into the planning stage of new projects
5. Maintain effective communication with clients as well as internal stakeholders
6. Manage and develop a team of engineers, ensuring effective use of resources
7. Contribute to business development strategies to grow the contract business
8. Maintain and enhance management systems, ensuring compliance with health and safety standards
9. Monitor and audit contractual and assurance performance
10. Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technological advances in the geo-environmental field
Essential (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
1. At least 10 years of relevant ground investigation and construction experience
2. BSc (MSc preferable) in Earth Sciences or Geotechnical related degree
Desirable (Knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience):
1. Experience in project management and contract delivery
2. Strong communication and people management skills
3. Business development experience
4. Chartered Status - Highly Desirable
Technologies:
1. Proficient in relevant software and tools related to ground investigation and project management
