Nidec Drives Power Electronics Engineer Role Summary
As a Senior Power Electronics Engineer at Nidec Drives, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing power electronics circuits with expertise in power electronics. Your primary goal will be to contribute to new designs and product specifications, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Main Responsibilities:
* Power Electronics Expertise: Collaborate with senior engineers to create innovative power electronics designs that meet the company's requirements.
* Circuit Design and Development: Develop electronic circuits/systems for power electronics using industry-standard software tools.
* Design Implementation and Validation: Ensure that implemented designs meet design specifications and comply with relevant international regulations.
* Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with external partners, participate in product design reviews, and interact with engineers from various disciplines.
* Testing and Quality Assurance: Oversee type test meetings, develop test equipment, and prepare technical documentation and reports.
* Mentorship and Guidance: Provide guidance and support to junior engineers to help them grow professionally.
Required Qualifications:
* Master's Degree in Power Electronics or a related field: A postgraduate degree in power electronics is essential for this role.
* Proven Experience in Power Electronics Engineering: At least 5 years of experience in designing and implementing power electronics systems.
* Knowledge of Power Electronic Devices and Systems: In-depth understanding of power electronic devices and their applications.
* Simulation Tools Experience: Proficiency in using simulation software tools for circuit analysis and design.
* Awareness of Emerging Technologies: Familiarity with emerging technologies in power electronics and their potential applications.
* Theoretical Knowledge and Planning Skills: Strong theoretical knowledge and planning skills to effectively manage projects.
* Chartered Engineer (Desirable): Holding a chartered engineering certification is highly desirable but not required.
