Job Description
The Improvement Service is looking to recruit a Data Project Officer to support the work of our research team in providing data and intelligence to tackle child poverty.
This role will give you the opportunity to support the delivery of a project as part of the Child Poverty Accelerator Fund – harnessing the power of data to deliver support to people and places most in need.
The role will also provide an opportunity to work with local authorities across Scotland and key national stakeholders, and work in a small team delivering this exciting work.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop your research and analysis skills and to deliver impactful work that will support Scotland’s ambition to eradicate child poverty.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about data and research, and able to engage effectively with a range of stakeholders to maximise its impact.

Location: West Lothian Council Civic Centre, Howden South Road, Livingston, West Lothian, EH54 6FF
It is anticipated that the role will involve a blended model of office and home working. This flexible approach will be agreed between employee and line manager.
Duration of Contract: 1-Year Fixed Term
Hours: Standard working week is 36 hours Monday to Friday. Hours can be worked flexibly in agreement with the Line Manager.
