GSK’s Ware Site is a key manufacturing center for GSK, manufacturing medicines and supplying globally.
We are looking for Engineering Technicians to join our Utilities and Facilities (U&F) team (on shift) to provide engineering expertise to support building services across the site.
Engineering Technicians work in a team (managed by a Shift Engineer) to support highly skilled, diverse teams across production, quality, and technical functions at the site. Engineering Technicians conduct a wide range of engineering maintenance, calibrations, physical interventions and repair activities.
Engineering Technician tasks include:
• Maintenance activities on utilities equipment
• Fault finding, problem solving and breakdown resolution
• Calibration of critical process and utility equipment
• Routine testing of HVAC systems including air quality
• Continuous improvement of production and utilities equipment and processes
• Completion of statutory inspections eg ATEX, zero access, LOTO
• Liaising with cross functional teams Quality Validation Site operations
• You may also be involved with project work (including commissioning and installing new equipment)
Shift: Please note that our Building services team ( Utilities & Facilities – U&F ) operates on a 24/7 shift and the shift pattern for this role involves 12-hour shifts (which include night work and weekend working).
About You:
Relevant engineering qualifications and / or experience is required (eg; Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/HND qualifications). A good standard of numeracy and literacy is essential.
You will be a willing learner and a good communicator who takes personal accountability, ownership and action to do the right thing. Good verbal, written and computer communication skills are needed and you must be able to work within a team and follow standard processes.
We are particularly interested in applicants with hands-on experience in the following skills:
• Mechanical
• Pneumatics
• Instrumentation
• Process control
• Calibration
• Electrical
About Ware Site:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company’s pipeline, many of which are life-saving medicines.

Basic Qualifications:
1. Relevant qualifications and experience (e.g. Engineering Apprenticeship. HNC / HND Level qualifications)
2. Applicants without an HNC level qualification need to have EngTech status or have completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship
