Sales and Reservations Consultant
Location: Welwyn Garden
Job Type: Full time, working Monday - Friday 9am-5pm with occasional Saturday mornings (paid as overtime)

About the Role
As a Sales and Reservations Consultant, you will play a vital role in creating unforgettable travel experiences for their clients while driving company revenue. You'll use your expertise and consultative approach to help clients select their dream holidays to worldwide destinations. Alongside providing excellent customer service, you'll convert enquiries into bookings, upsell additional services and manage administrative tasks related to travel arrangements.
Key Responsibilities
Use your travel knowledge to guide customers in selecting the perfect holiday
Achieve monthly sales targets through outstanding selling skills and proactive lead follow-up
Build and nurture long-term customer relationships, creating a personal client base
Deliver prompt and efficient responses to enquiries via web/live chat and outbound calls
Handle booking administration tasks, including arranging flights and maintaining accurate records
Share product knowledge with clients and collaborate closely with Tour Leaders and stakeholders
Represent the company at overseas educational trips, UK-based trips and trade shows
Provide regular updates to clients on outstanding queries and ensure their satisfaction
Skills and Experience:
Proven sales experience or customer service experience, ideally within the travel industry
Strong customer service skills with a passion for exceeding client expectations
Professional and pleasant telephone manner
Sound geographical knowledge and enthusiasm for travel
Ability to adopt a consultative, empathetic approach to client needs
Strong verbal and written communication skills
High attention to detail and accuracy
Flexible and adaptable multitasker, capable of working under pressure
Knowledge of GDS (Amadeus) is a plus but not essential - training can be provided
