To provide effective individualised patient care as delegated by the Hospital@Home Nursing Team.
To facilitate multidisciplinary patient centred care. To maintain the safety, dignity and well-being of people in your care at all times.
Main duties of the job
1. Assist qualified Nursing staff in a range of patient care duties.
2. To undertake a range of delegated nursing tasks, including cannulation and taking blood or urine samples, carrying out basic wound assessments and applying simple dressings, taking routine observations and supporting clients with medication.
3. To record patient information.
4. To provide planned patient care.

5. Completion of Care Certificate or equivalent experience to vocational qualification level 3.
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

6. Understands and complies with CSW mandatory induction standards and code of conduct.
7. Awareness, understanding and compliance of policies and practices Escort Policy, Prevention and control of infection and Health and Safety. The post holder is therefore able to work within the scope of their practice under direct and indirect supervision by the registered nurse (training will be provided).
8. Can demonstrate knowledge of equipment used within the department to support the registered nurse and ensure that they are compatible and in good working order. Will escalate any concerns to a registered nurse.
9. Completion and maintenance of statutory & mandatory learning activities.
