Due to an increase in workload and targeted growth Willmott Dixon is looking to recruit a Planning Manager to support our preconstruction team in the North West.
Reporting to the Pre-construction Manager is to lead the planning function to produce realistic, de-risked programmes, on time and to the highest quality. This role will support our construction projects throughout the North West and see you working on exciting projects valued between £10/70m
Supporting our preconstruction team in the North-West You will be based in our Oldham office but we also know that work isn’t the only important aspect of your life so we are happy to support flexible working and working from home two days per week.
Responsibilities:
* Successfully lead the planning team to ensure we deliver the business objectives to the highest standards.
* Produce a robust and evidence-based programme to submit as part of the tender submission.
* Ensure all tenders have an informed bid preparation programme and that all key activities are based upon known outputs or supply chain information.
* Produce prelims in collaboration with the estimating and operations teams.
* Ability to clearly and confidently present at post tender interviews.

* Project management: able to provide a systematic approach to planning, execution and successful completion.
* Communication skills: clear and concise written and verbal communication.
* Analytical thinking: problem solving to overcome issues through the construction process.
* Attention to detail: thoroughness in reviewing project plans and documents.
* Technical knowledge: understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
