Rockstar Leeds is on the lookout for a talented Workplace Services Manager. You will work alongside the current Workplace Manager providing management of the day-to-day operation of the building and its facilities services. This is a full-time permanent position based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of Leeds.
WHAT WE DO
1. The Rockstar Workplace Services Team (WPS) is responsible for ensuring the workplace, building, facilities, and services work harmoniously together to support the core business.
2. We create a creative, supportive, and safe working environment for the staff at Rockstar.
3. We manage and develop both hard and soft facilities services, including building maintenance, security, cleaning, catering, and space utilisation and strategy.
4. We ensure the site complies with all relevant guidance and legislation.
5. We partner with senior leadership to drive proactive real estate growth strategies, leasehold improvement, and capital expenditure projects.
RESPONSIBILITIES
6. Overall responsibility for the building and facilities services at Rockstar Leeds. Ensuring a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment is provided for staff and visitors.
7. Working alongside other Workplace Managers, manage others in the Workplace Services team, ensuring they carry out their roles professionally and to the required standard whilst coaching and developing where needed.
8. Build and foster relationships with support functions – Work in unison with administrative functions to ensure the needs of the office are being met and sustained.
9. Contract management for buildings and facilities services including procurement process, budget management, contract negotiation, day-to-day operational oversite, and performance management.
10. Management of Workplace Services projects and small works taking them from their identification through to completion ensuring all deadlines are met and communications to key stakeholders remain detailed and consistent.
11. Always ensure full compliance with all legal and statutory requirements, including Health & Safety, COSHH, sustainability legislation etc.
12. Ensure the effective documentation and development of building and facilities information, particularly operational processes and documents required for safety and compliance.
13. Work collaboratively with colleagues in Security and Business Protection to ensure that risks, security measures and issues are being recorded, monitored, and reported.
14. Work collaboratively with colleagues in Technical Services to ensure compliance, PPM and standards are met and maintained.
15. By working in collaboration with stakeholders, oversee the management of space and desk utilisation ensuring it is used efficient and effectively and in line with studio requirements.
16. Assist Workplace Strategy Team in related global projects and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
17. Educated to degree level or with equivalent vocational education and experience.
18. 3+ years' experience successfully managing a multi discipline Workplace team displaying effective communication, leadership, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
19. Experience in overseeing service contracts including their procurement, performance, and management.
SKILLS
20. Excellent understanding of current safety legislation and best practice.
21. A detail oriented, flexible self-starter with strong initiative, excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
22. Excellent planning and project management skills with the ability to consider things from multiple angles.
23. Process driven, but outcome focused, and always looking for quality improvement and ensuring they are documented accurately.
24. Capable of working autonomously and alongside a wider WPS team, managing, and prioritising their own workload and understanding when and where to seek guidance and approval.
25. Ability to drive Workplace Services initiatives, plans and projects forward and maintain excellent working relationship with other stakeholders and local management.
26. Experience in an overlapping business support fields, e.g. IT, Administration, Operations.
27. Excellent communication (written and verbal).
28. Creative problem-solving skills.
29. Ability to coach and develop direct reports to work as a team to ensure service meets appropriate goals.
30. Enthusiasm and the ability to create a sense of fun and motivate a team whilst upholding standards and maintaining discipline.
31. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel).
32. Sound numerical skills and IT skills.
PLUSES

33. A IWFM or IFMA qualification.
34. NEBOSH Safety Qualification or equivalent.
35. Previous experience within the Creative Industries – video games, film, television, music – would be beneficial.
36. Experience with work order ticketing systems, space management tools and construction project management platforms.
37. Experience with AutoCAD.
