The Role
As part of a multi-disciplinary team, the post holder will manage a defined caseload, using evidence based practice and client centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions in both hospital and community settings
The post holder is expected to develop relevant clinical skills, knowledge and experience without direct supervision
As a rotational occupational therapist in NHS Lanarkshire, you will have the opportunity to gain experience across a number of acute and community rotations including:
1. Surgical
2. Care of the Elderly
3. Medical
4. A&E/ acute medical receiving
5. Trauma & Elective Orthopaedics
6. Acute Stroke
7. Community Rehabilitation Teams
8. Brain Injury
9. Rheumatology
10. Vascular
11. Hand Therapy

What we'll need you to bring
19. Registered Occupational Therapist with valid HCPC Registration
20. Knowledge of application of the theory underpinning OT practice
21. The post holder will be required to demonstrate excellent team working skills with the ability to work using own initiative
22. Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills
23. Ability to work with people and as part of a multidisciplinary team
24. Excellent time management skills
25. Working knowledge of basic information technology
It would be great if you also have:
26. OT Practice Education course
27. Further Education and CPD in relation to the post including relevant projects and research studies
28. Practice Education experience relevant to the post
29. Previous voluntary or employment experience or research proposal/project relevant to the post
30. Knowledge of application of the theory underpinning OT practice
31. Basic knowledge of legislation, policy and procedures which impact on practice
32. Supervision and appraisal skills
33. Positive role modelling and leadership skills
34. Flexible working patterns to meet the requirements of the post
35. A full, Valid UK/EU/EEA licence
