This is a full-time, permanent role based in Newry, Northern Ireland.
The role:
1. Managing and implementing the company’s procurement strategy to support strategic growth plans
2. Main areas of spend will be across packaging, ingredients and utilities
3. Negotiating terms with suppliers and manage performance of key suppliers based on value for money, quality, delivery and service levels
4. Work with commercial finance to support pricing initiatives
5. Monthly reporting to management
6. Responsibility for ensuring the business has a supply of ingredients and packaging within the targeted levels set for the business
7. Sourcing of new suppliers in line with sustainability strategy
8. Management of indirect spending
9. Implement a profit improvement strategy
10. Develop formal product sector category strategies
11. Update quality market intelligence gathering to ensure strong positioning
12. Key stakeholder engagement
13. Risk Management strategies
14. Team management
Skills & Experience Required:
15. A proven track record in managing procurement teams within the FMCG sector
16. MCIPS qualified or equivalent
17. Strong people management skills
18. Values and purpose driven
19. Strong numeracy skills including excellent knowledge of MS Excel
20. Excellent negotiation skills
21. Ability to lead and help with difficult decisions to support the business in the best way possible
22. Ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
23. A proven track record in building strong supplier relationships with regular performance reviews
