Specialist Outreach Engagement Worker

Band 5: £29,970- £36,483
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join the sexual health outreach, RSE and prevention provision in Wigan and Leigh.
Locala is proud to deliver sexual health services across several districts in West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester.
We are excited to be expanding our outreach, RSE and prevention provision in Wigan and Leigh and have a new opportunity to recruit a specialist outreach engagement worker to support marginalized and vulnerable population groups to access sexual health services.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. The post holder will have responsibility for engaging with and will understand the needs of vulnerable young people and adults, including those at risk of exploitation, looked after children, those involved in the sex industry, men who have sex with men, victims of domestic abuse, those affected by substance misuse, LGBTQ communities, and those at risk of poor sexual health.
2. The post holder will work in collaboration with internal colleagues, schools, key partners, and stakeholders to ensure those groups most at risk can have access to sexual health and health services within a variety of settings.
3. The post holder will effectively implement and deliver RSE in secondary schools across the district; experience of RSE and sexual health is required.
4. The post holder will have effective advocacy skills and use innovative practice to engage the most vulnerable people into relevant services. The post holder will have excellent knowledge of safeguarding, the ability to identify risks, and support clinical teams and managers in developing pathways and protocols to relevant health and safeguarding services.
A full driving licence is required, and confidence in driving a hire car.
