We currently have excellent opportunity for a Bar Supervisor to join our team at Wolverhampton Racecourse.
Wolverhampton Racecourse is one of Britain’s busiest racecourses, hosting nearly 100 horse racing fixtures across the year, as well as several music events it is one of the biggest all-weather racecourses and has changed the face of racing.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Serve our customers in an efficient, professional and courteous manner at all times.
2. Ensure guests receive the highest standard of customer service at all times.
3. Supervise a number of bar staff to ensure effective & fast service.
4. Carry out opening & close down till procedures in line with company policy.
5. Be able to work to guidelines set out by both the racecourse and the BHA.
6. To promote a happy and welcoming atmosphere within the venue.
7. To work both alone or as part of a team being responsible ensuring that all our guests needs are met to the highest possible standard.
8. Maintain stock levels and rotation within work and storage areas in order to avoid waste and assist with stocktaking.
9. Ensure the work area is adequately stocked with glassware, ice, condiments and other appropriate sundries in line with predetermined stock levels and business need.
10. To serve all guests efficiently with the correct food and beverage service knowledge, cleaning down and carrying out all necessary duties as required by your manager.
11. Keep the area of work and public areas clean and tidy before, during and after opening hours and to undertake cleaning duties as required – paying particular attention to Health and Safety and COSHH Guidelines.
12. Ensure that all temperature records are accurately kept along with other appropriate paperwork.
13. Adhere to and follow all licensing policies and procedures.
14. Handle stock and equipment in a secure manner.
15. Act as an information point for customers.
16. Record wastage in line with venue procedures and dispose of rubbish in line with any onsite recycling initiatives.
17. Adhere to Company policies and procedures.
18. Undertake other reasonable duties in line with business demands.

Experience working in a supervisory capacity is a requirement of this job role, although training can be given.
