This role is pivotal in providing comprehensive, accurate, and professional HR advice and support. Key Responsibilities: Provide first-line advice on employee relations issues, including disciplinaries, grievances, organisational change management, capability, sickness, and absence management. Oversee the job evaluation process, preparing paperwork for moderation. Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, from advertising to offer letters, contracts of employment, and pre-employment checks. Develop and update HR policies in line with legislative changes and best practices. Promote Council-wide initiatives, including Health and Wellbeing, Equality, and Diversity. Work with key stakeholders to enable informed decisions on people management issues. Support managers in developing role profiles and undertaking job evaluations. Assist with restructures, change management, and TUPE transfers. Advise on employment aspects of equalities and participate in equalities work. Support HR projects and Council-wide initiatives.
