This is a great opportunity for a Public Sector Procurement Professional who is looking to take the next step on their career path and move into a role where they are managing a small team (2) and have responsibility for a Procurement Function within a Fife-based Institution.
It is an exciting year for the Institution as it celebrates its 125 th anniversary. The Institution delivers over 400 courses across 40 specialist areas and the Procurement Manager will work closely with the stakeholders across the 5 campuses in Fife to deliver their procurement needs and projects.
The Procurement Team will work across a breadth of categories that will include estates, professional services, travel, insurance and IT and will network across the Institution to promote the capabilities of the Procurement Team. The size of the projects will differ and the Procurement Manager will deliver the tender process for above-regulated spend areas.
The Procurement Manager will manage and mentor the team in managing the process for lower-level spend and support them with their development. They will also network with their peers across the wider business and look to work collaboratively with them using framework agreements.
You must have previous experience working in Public Sector Procurement and a strong working knowledge Scottish/UK Procurement Legislation and delivering end-to-end tenders within the legislation. You will have great communication skills and enjoy networking and building working relationships with Stakeholders and Colleagues. Most importantly you will understand the importance of delivering a First-Class procurement service to Stakeholders.
