Quality Engineer - Major Infrastructure Projects
Location: London (NW)
Salary / Package: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum, negotiable dependant on experience plus package including;
- Car / car allowance and full travel expences paid.

Summary
One of the UK's largest infrastructure contractors are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Quality Engineer to work on a £1 billion Station delivery project in North West London, to support the project team, supply chain and others to manage quality assurance.
What you'll be doing
- Support the development, documentation and ongoing maintenance of the Quality (& Construction Assurance) Plan (supporting the QACH Manager and other team members) to meet relevant requirements (including ISO 9001) and associated procedures.
- Incorporate specific, relevant, and comprehensive subcontract requirements relevant to quality and construction assurance into each tender package under the supervision of the Quality Manager and QACH Manager.
- Work with the project team to ensure requirements have been met and authorisation can be given for works to commence on the required date.
- Collaborate with the Project Team, suppliers, and other interested parties to carry out and maintain the system of progressive assurance for the work, including benchmarking, site inspections, testing, and documentation.
- Ensure relevant audits are undertaken and reports issued in a timely manner.
- Initiate detailed investigations of quality incidents to determine the facts and root cause(s), including the issuance of a corresponding report and recommendations.
- Support the project team in dealing with external auditing governing bodies to maintain relevant certifications.
Who we're looking for
- Practical experience in quality assurance within the construction / civils industry.
- Knowledge of the sector and experience within a project-based organization.
- Ability to build strong relationships with the project team members, suppliers, client representatives, and other stakeholders.
- Technical knowledge and experience relevant to the works area.
- Ability to gather, analyse and evaluate facts (including design / manufacturers' information).
- Can communicate effectively orally and written and influence others including senior management.
- Has an enquiring and questioning approach to audit work.
- Civil Engineering qualifications (desirable)
