We are looking to appoint a Pre-construction Technical Manager to join our fast-paced development team. Reporting to our Head of Development, the successful candidate will work closely with our construction and commercial departments, as well as consultant teams to ensure that each of our secured projects start on site, in line with programme. Responsibilities As Pre-Construction Technical Manager the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering the planning and preparation stage of each project. Responsibilities will include: Working closely with Clients, Consultants, Statutory Authorities and all other relevant parties, to ensure that projects are ready for an effective start on site, on time. Completing pre-construction programmes and ensuring adherence to the programmes. Appointing the design team and relevant consultants. Co-ordinating the design team and consultants to ensure that designs are progressed in line with the Client brief and specifications. Co-ordination of all required surveys and reports. Completing technical reviews of all drawings to ensure buildability is achievable in the most efficient way. Ensuring that planning applications are progressed and approved. Co-ordinating the discharge of pre-commencement planning conditions. Ensuring that all section agreements are submitted, technically approved and legally completed in a timely manner. Liaising with all service providers to ensure there is capacity and any service diversion are completed. Qualifications Relevant degree in construction management, architecture, civil engineering or related subject. Essential skills Strong knowledge and understanding of construction methods and technical details. Ability to read and understand construction drawings and technical details. Ability to use Microsoft Project software. Excellent organisational and communication skills. Ability to manage multi-discipline teams. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple schemes simultaneously. Experience of working in a similar role. Full UK driving license. We are offering an extremely competitive salary depending on experience and skills. The role is full time and permanent, working 39 hours per week on a flexible basis and core hours of 9.00am until 14.00pm each day with 33 days annual leave (pro rata and inclusive of bank holidays).
