Who You Are You are a qualified and experienced social worker with a minimum of two years post-qualification experience in statutory Adult’s Social Care service. You hold a Social Work degree or equivalent and maintain current registration with the HCPC. You possess comprehensive knowledge of legislative frameworks such as the NHS and Community Care Act and Mental Health Act, and demonstrate proficiency in applying needs-led assessment and planning. With a strong understanding of the theories and models for social work intervention, you are recognized as a reliable source of expertise by your peers. What the Job Involves This role requires you to manage a complex and varied caseload, providing high-quality assessments and support plans for vulnerable individuals as part of the Vulnerable People Service. You will work collaboratively within legislative frameworks, preparing written statements for court and undertaking safeguarding investigations. Your responsibilities include developing personalized care packages, coordinating with internal and external agencies, and engaging directly with clients and their families. You are expected to maintain up-to-date reports and data entry, ensuring adherence to the Data Protection Act. You will model critical reflection and evidence-based decision-making, contribute to service development, and oversee the teaching and assessment of social work students. Regular attendance at multidisciplinary forums is required, with opportunities to chair meetings. This position includes a hybrid work schedule with office attendance at Magdalen House, Bootle, and potential out-of-hours duties.
