A vacancy has arisen for a Driver MFO to join our team at our soil wash & material recovery plant at Port Salford.
The Multifunctional Plant Operator role will be required to provide operational support on a daily basis in line with both the Site and Company Health and Safety procedures. They will be responsible for carrying out visual inspections and reports on all areas of the plant and operating various mobile plant as required.
The role briefly encompasses the following:
Providing operational support on a daily basis.
Maintaining a high standard of housekeeping in all operational areas.
Full compliance with both station and Company Health and Safety Procedures, including vehicle checks and defect reporting.
Carry out visual inspections/ reports on soil wash plant conveyors, chutes, screens and associated plant.
Operating a 360 excavator to blend incoming materials and creating blended stockpiles. Creating benches is also a requirement to enable tipped material to be lifted and cast.
Operating Mobile plant (Loading Shovel, Excavator, Dump truck) in accordance with Health and Safety procedures.
Follow, promote and report any activity that deviates site operational rules.
Carry out and assist with maintenance tasks.
Completing any other reasonable tasks or requests as required to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the plant and equipment.
Ensuring that all relevant Health and Safety measures are in place at all times.
Undertaking training as and when required to ensure competence.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills/ attributes:
ECITB Passport to Safety or equivalent.
Risk Assessment training, Point of Work Risk Assessment, basic Manual Handling training.
Holder of Front-End Loading shovel licence to green card standard.
Holder of Excavator licence to green card standard. A minimum of 3 years' experience operating a 360 excavator.
Holder of Articulated Dump Truck licence to green card standard.
Experience in the operation of washing & screening plants.
Understanding of maintenance requirements of fixed & mobile plant.
Ability to carry out front line minor maintenance as required.
Positive attitude to safety
Previous experience working on wash plant sites.
Knowledge and experience of screens & conveyors would be advantageous.
Able to undertake duties involving manual labour to carry out preventative & reactive maintenance.
