Aspire people are looking for Qualified SEND teachers in the Nottingham area!
We are looking for a dedicated professionals that have a QTS qualification and experience working with SEND students, that would be able to support in both mainstream, and SEND schools.
Position: Temporary and day-to-day support with the potential of full time/permanent positions in the future
Location: Primary and SEND schools in Nottingham
Experience: QTS (Qualified teaching status) Must have UK based experience working with children
Experience working with Social, emotional and Mental health needs (SEMH) and other Special educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) such as Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.
Availability: Flexible day to day working, possibility of regular full and part time work
What does the role involve:
No two children are the same, so being a SEND Teacher requires flexibility and strong communication skills. This role is supporting children that may have complex and challenging behaviours.
The role requires attention to detail, patience and a non-judgemental approach, and it is important to be resilient and passionate about supporting each child's needs.
You might be:
* Supporting and directing teaching assistants in the classroom
* Delivering lessons and working to a curriculum
* Working 1:1 with children
* Working with small groups
* Managing classroom resources
* Managing heightened behaviours and keeping children safe
* Creating a positive and safe environment for all learners
