Job Duties:
The KS2 SEN Outreach Tutor will be responsible for providing tailored educational support to Key Stage 2 students with Special Educational Needs. This includes developing individualised learning plans, delivering lessons in line with the national curriculum, and monitoring progress through regular assessments. The tutor will also collaborate with teachers, parents, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student development.
Required Qualifications:
- Relevant teaching qualification
- Experience working with SEN students
- Knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role
Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of SEN teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual student needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Postgraduate qualification in Special Education Needs
- Experience in working within outreach programmes
- Additional training in specific SEN areas
Working Conditions:
This role involves working part-time hours on a temporary basis, supporting students during school hours. The tutor may need to travel to different locations to deliver outreach sessions. Close collaboration with school staff, parents, and external professionals is essential for successful student outcomes.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
