Job Description:
Job Duties:
1. Plan, prepare and deliver engaging lessons Preparing for Adulthood pathways- Good Health, Independent Living, Employment and Friends, Relationships and the Community, to post-16 students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
2. Create individualised education plans to meet the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
3. Assess students' progress and provide feedback to enhance their learning outcomes
4. Collaborate with support staff and external agencies to support students' holistic development
5. Participate in CPD opportunities to stay updated on best practises in SEN education
Required Qualifications:
6. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
7. Specialist training or experience in working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder
Education:
8. Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
Experience:
9. Minimum of 1 years of experience teaching students with SEN, preferably post-16
Knowledge and Skills:
10. Understanding of SEN policies and practises in the UK education system
11. Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students with SEN
12. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
13. Strong organisational and time-management abilities
Preferred Qualifications:
14. Additional training or certification in SEN education
15. Experience in using assistive technology to support students with SEN
Working Conditions:
16. Work in a classroom setting within a post-16 educational institution
17. Full-time position with regular school hours
