Your Role
As our Group Health and Safety Officer, you’ll report to the Group Standards Manager and play a key role in ensuring that all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations are followed. You'll identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and work closely with our SHE Department to ensure we comply with health and safety laws across all our regions. Investigating and reporting incidents to the CEO and Group Standards Manager will be a crucial part of your role.
You'll conduct risk assessments for high-risk tasks, provide SHE inductions for new and existing staff, and carry out housekeeping inspections and audits. You’ll also review RAMS and conduct contractor inductions as needed. Working with the SHEQ Department, you’ll help update and introduce new health and safety policies, ensuring all equipment meets current regulations.
About You
To be a great fit for the Group Health and Safety Officer role, you’ll need:
* A HNC qualification or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
* A NEBOSH General Certificate in Health & Safety or equivalent/higher
* At least 5 years of recent, relevant experience in a similar role
* A good understanding of health and safety law and legislation
* Knowledge of CDM, LOLER, PUWER, Electricity at Work Act, and Gas Safety Regulations
* Experience in creating policies and risk assessments
* Knowledge or experience of ISO 45001, 14001, and 9001
* A full, valid UK driving licence
Working Hours
* Monday - Thursday: 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
* Friday: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm
