We are looking for a Band 7 Specialist Clinical Pharmacist, or someone who aspires to become a Band 7 specialist pharmacist and is willing to work towards this specialist post.If you aspire to become a Band 7 Specialist Pharmacist but you are not quite ready for this role we would be happy to support you through a Band 6/7 progression role. For this, you would be expected to complete a portfolio before progressing to the Band 7 role.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic pharmacist to manage and support the development of Clinical Pharmacy and Medicines Management initiatives across the Trust. This pharmacist will have a great opportunity to develop their specialist clinical skills within pharmacy and various clinical specialities. There is a strong focus on staff as individuals. Job responsibilities
Provides specialised clinical pharmacy services.
Directly manages and supervises the professional services and activities carried out by clinical pharmacists and trainee pharmacists, technicians and support staff, to wards and departments.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that at all times standards are maintained, particularly with respect to statutory professional and legal requirements, to ensure that a high quality service is provided in a consistent and equitable manner to all service users.

Education/ Qualifications
Essential
5. Registered with the GPhC
6. Completion of the first year of a clinical diploma
7. Master's Degree in Pharmacy
Desirable
8. Evidence of further education/ training in clinical practice
9. Member of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society
10. Membership of other speciality groups UKCPA
Experience
Essential
11. Hospital Experience and ability to demonstrate medicines management at ward level
12. 1-year post registration clinical experience
13. Participation in an audit/ research project
14. Teaching/training experience
15. Evidence of completion of a departmental or trust wide procedural document or guideline
Desirable
16. Experience of writing PGDs
17. Experience of managerial responsibilities
18. Published pharmaceutical content
