Job Description
A Project Engineer is required to join a machinery supplier in the Tamworth area. The role is office based and will involve occasional travel to customer sites.
Project Engineer Responsibilities
* Lead and support large, complex projects from the sales handover stage through to completion and customer handover, under the guidance of the Senior Project Manager.
* Coordinate and utilise internal and external engineering resources effectively to ensure smooth project execution.
* Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Develop and maintain best practices within the project team, embedding them into the engineering team's operations.
* Promote a Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) culture, fostering continuous improvement and efficiency
* Provide feedback to the Sales and Technical teams on installation improvements to enhance future project delivery, supported by structured regular communication updates.
Qualifications and Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience
* 3- 5 years' of experience as a project coordinator, project engineer, or project manager
* Commutable to the Tamworth area
* Working knowledge of CAD, engineering drawings and manufacturing principles.
