We are seeking a Funding & Development Officer to join our dynamic team on a self-employed basis. The Funding & Development Officer will work closely alongside our CEO and wider Resonate team, playing a key role in supporting our efforts to secure funding, build strategic partnerships, and develop our Community Music programmes. Position Overview:
We are seeking a driven and resourceful Funding & Development Officer to join our dynamic team on a self-employed basis. The Funding & Development Officer will work closely alongside our CEO and wider Resonate team, playing a key role in supporting our efforts to secure funding, build strategic partnerships, and develop our Community Music programmes. The position is currently on a part time basis for 8 hours per week, but we are interested to expand the role over time subject to securing additional funding.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to comprehensive research to identify funding opportunities from diverse sources, including government grants, foundations, corporate sponsors, and individual donors, aligning with our mission of providing inclusive music projects to promote well-being in community settings.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of our funding database.
- Support the cultivation and nurturing of relationships with funders, donors, and community partners to expand our network of support and engagement, collaborating closely with the CEO, Director of Services, and Director of Strategy.
- Assist in the development of compelling grant proposals, funding applications, and sponsorship pitches in collaboration with the management team, ensuring alignment with organisational priorities and objectives.
- Support grant reporting and compliance efforts to meet funder requirements and maintain transparency and accountability, working closely with project managers and stakeholders as needed.
- Collaborate with the Marketing & PR Volunteer and Comms & Marketing Officer to enhance our visibility and communicate our impact effectively through various channels.
- Represent Resonate Creative CIC alongside the CEO at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to identify new funding prospects and strategic partnerships.
- Participate in organisational strategy and planning meetings, contributing insights and recommendations to inform funding strategies and resource allocation.
Qualifications and Experience:
- The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree level or have an equivalent level of professional training or experience.
- Experience in fundraising, grant writing, and development within the non-profit sector, ideally with experience in arts, music, or cultural organisations.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to identify funding prospects and opportunities aligned with our mission of providing inclusive music projects to promote well-being in community settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate our mission and impact persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Detail-oriented with exceptional organisational and project management abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and external partners to achieve shared goals.
Additional Requirements:
- The organisation is neuro-inclusive, and the ideal candidate will have a good working understanding of working within a team with colleagues living with ADHD and autism.
- Demonstrate good organisational skills, patience, positivity, and a solution-focused approach.
- The successful candidate will need to register with HMRC for self-employment and pay their own tax and National Insurance contributions associated with this role.
