Head of QSHE

The Head of QSHE for the Consulting, Construction and Development (CCD) Sector holds a vital role, overseeing operational HSE support within the sector. The role will ensure compliance and safe delivery against agreed HSE objectives. This role enables support in planning, delivering and safely executing all operations.
The Head of HSE will lead the CCD HSE Team, managing root cause analysis for incidents and non-conformances, tender support, and data management. They will also develop an assurance program alongside the HSE Director, focusing on regulatory compliance, sector risks and business expectations.
What will you be doing?
* Identify opportunities for improvement in HSE performance and provide data-driven recommendations.
* Assess and support on HSE resource allocation to optimise HSE performance and culture.
* Conduct thorough root cause analysis following incidents and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), working in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
* Ensure the timely and accurate closure of incidents and NCRs, together with developing and implementing an action plan for prevention and continuous improvement.
* Manage and maintain health and safety systems, ensuring the accurate and timely entry of all relevant data.
* Analyse data to identify trends and patterns, informing the implementation of corrective and preventative measures to improve HSE performance and culture.
* Remain up to date with current legislation relevant to the sector.
What are we looking for?
You will have experience in a senior HSE position with a proven knowledge of delivery within the Power, Grid and Electrical sectors. As well as this, you will have a background in managing teams in a H&S environment. Additionally you will hold:
* CMIOSH Holder
* CDM knowledge and experience
* ISO or internal audit knowledge and experience
* Experience of multi-site, multi-discipline ideally from an Engineering background
* Full UK Driving License
