Unique Opportunity for a Trauma Therapist and Specialist Child Counsellor
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Trauma Therapist and Specialist Child Counsellor to join our team in providing high-quality, specialist services to victims of sexual violence.
This role is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and empathetic professional to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and adults affected by trauma.
The successful candidate will provide one-to-one therapy sessions for children up to the age of 18 and adults over 18, as well as supporting the provision of therapeutic assessments to clients across Derbyshire who have been referred to our Therapy Service.
You will work within a multi-agency setting, providing a pro-active therapy service to child victims of sexual abuse aged 0-17yrs and their families, or adult victims, within and outside of the criminal justice system.
This role forms part of our Therapy Service, which comprises a team of Adult and Children's Therapists offering counselling, therapy, support groups, parent support sessions, and other therapeutic interventions to victims of sexual violence and secondary survivors.
About the Role
* Provide one-to-one therapy sessions for children and adults
* Support the provision of therapeutic assessments to clients

* Provide a pro-active therapy service to child victims of sexual abuse and their families, or adult victims
Requirements
* Minimum recognised qualification in counselling or psychotherapy to at least Diploma Level 4
* Safeguarding training and extensive knowledge and awareness of rape, sexual abuse, rape trauma syndrome, and their effects within the therapeutic setting
* Registration with BACP or similar professional body
* 300 hours post-qualifying counselling practice and a minimum of two years' experience working specifically with either client group
