Commissioning Supervisor - Onshore Wind Projects - Shetland
TGRC is seeking a skilled Commissioning Supervisor for onshore wind projects located in Shetland. This contract role is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional in the wind energy sector, aiming to lead and manage the commissioning phase of critical renewable energy projects.
Role Overview
The Commissioning Supervisor will play a pivotal role in directing the commissioning process for our onshore wind projects in Shetland. The successful candidate will ensure the efficient setup and operation of wind turbines and related systems, maintaining adherence to technical and safety standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the commissioning activities for onshore wind projects in Shetland.
2. Work closely with project managers, engineers, and technical teams to streamline project delivery.
3. Ensure all project activities comply with relevant safety and quality standards.
4. Conduct detailed system testing to ensure operational reliability and performance of wind turbines.
5. Address and resolve technical issues that may arise during the commissioning phase.
6. Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of all commissioning procedures.
7. Facilitate the training of site personnel on system operation and maintenance post-commissioning.
Qualifications
8. Extensive experience as a Commissioning Supervisor within the wind power industry.
9. In-depth understanding of the mechanical and electrical systems involved in wind turbines.
10. Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage complex projects efficiently.
11. Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong communication skills.
12. Engineering degree or similar qualification in a relevant technical field.
