Job summary
WT&E - South East Region, Postgraduate Medical and Dental Education (PGMDE) Team is responsible for the planning, development, education, and training of the healthcare and public health workforce across Kent, Surrey, Sussex, Thames Valley, Hampshire, Dorset, Isle of Wight, and Salisbury. We also provide medical training for the States of Jersey for doctors in Foundation and General Practice.
We are currently recruiting a Revalidation & Accreditation Officer.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will support the Revalidation & Accreditation Manager in the provision of a wide range of operational functions to ensure the smooth running of assessment and revalidation across the local offices in the South East.

Job description
Job responsibilities
The post holder will support the day-to-day activities of revalidating postgraduate medical trainee doctors on behalf of the Responsible Officer (RO). This includes maintaining excellent records; and ensuring accuracy and timely activity.
The post holder will coordinate assessment activity across a number of education programmes as well as supporting the Education Programme Managers ensuring appropriate governance is in place.
The post holder will produce various reports, data, and information as required by NHSE and the GMC and participate in local and regional meetings. The post holder will also be required to set up meetings and to assist setting agendas and minute those meetings.
The post holder will support the implementation of local and national guidance and policy on assessment and revalidation in the local office.
It is expected there will be frequent liaison with internal and external Stakeholders.
In addition, the post holder will be expected to contribute to the multi-professional nature of the business of NHSE across the South East region and support region wide PGMDE activities.

6. Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience working at a similar level in a specialist area

7. Strong knowledge of administrative procedures, and associated information analysis resulting in excellent time management skills with the ability to reprioritise
8. Experience of dealing with a wide range of stakeholders and providing complex information and advice

9. Working knowledge of PGMDE and Revalidation
