The role As an ambitious M&A Director, you will lead the strategy, evaluation and execution of sell-side mandates. This role requires an experienced deal maker with a proven track record of completing M&A transactions, preferably across multiple sectors which include at least one of: Technology, Energy and Utilities, Industrials, Professional Services, Media, Consumer Goods, or Life Sciences. Responsibilities: Taking ownership for leading, negotiating, and completing transactions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams – working closely with both inhouse teams and external professional partners to complete the transactions in the best interests of the client. Managing client mandates from start to finish by supporting onboarding new clients. Providing oversight and coordination of engagement and deliverables with your project team Ensure that deliverables are efficiently produced to a high quality Supporting the client acquisition team to close and win new engagements. Build, motivate and support a high-performing team. Manage, mentor and help grow our team members. Skills and professional experience Extensive experience in UK M&A within one or more of the following sectors: Technology, Energy and Utilities, Industrials, Professional Services, Media, Consumer Goods, or Life Sciences. Proven track record of leading, negotiating, and completing transactions. Expertise in financial modelling, valuation, and due diligence for M&A transactions. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organisation, internally and externally Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present clearly to senior level stakeholders; ideally comfortable in corporate and private equity board rooms Ideally a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in finance, business, or a related field; MBA or equivalent advanced degree is preferred. Alternatively, ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent), or relevant work experience. Our hybrid working policy You’ll be based from our Basingstoke office with hybrid working. Due to the nature of the role ability to travel when required is essential. Rewards Competitive Annual Salary (To be confirmed subject to experience) Commission on your completed transactions Annual uncapped profit-linked company bonus scheme that starts at a minimum of 20% of your base salary when the company achieves its annual agreed target. 25 days plus bank holidays Application close date is the 10th January 2025
