Here at Chapelfield Veterinary Partnership, we are looking for an Equine Student Veterinary Nurse/experienced Veterinary Care Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will enhance and expand our nursing team allowing us to champion the role of the Veterinary Nurse, assisting in the running of regular nurse clinics and routine yard visits to support the clinical load. The candidate will support our Veterinary Surgeons with procedures, surgical cases, and independently carry out visits under the direction of our Veterinary Surgeon. Our caseload includes orthopaedic investigation, gastroscopy, endoscopy, surgical laser, orthopaedic surgeries, castrations, clipping clinics, inpatient care, nurse visits to include bandage changes, shockwave therapy, administering medications and so much more!

The group has specialist-trained colleagues and services and internal referrals for Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Dental, and Orthopaedic surgery. We are currently building and developing our nursing team with a multi-disciplinary programme of role review, development, and enhancement to better support the veterinary team. Our practice, The Chapelfield Group, has been a significant part of the Norwich and Norfolk community for many years and has been a beacon of high-quality veterinary care for our clients. We have long-established small animal, equine, and farm practices across Norwich and East Anglia. You will be joining us at an exciting time as we start to transform our business and make changes to ensure our business is clinically fit and financially viable for the future. This transformation includes new ways of working, role development and enhancement, and a defined clinical strategy with associated service development for the entire team. Our staff and the Chapelfield team are our biggest strength, in addition to the fantastic facilities we have to offer our clients. We have five practices in and around Norwich with the farm practice covering East Anglia from North Norfolk down to Essex and across into Cambridgeshire. Our small animal practices are in Norwich, Wymondham, Long Stratton, Brooke, and Costessey with our Equine centre at our purpose-built Brooke site.

The rota will include working 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday with the patterns being from 08:00-16:30 and 10:00-18:30 alternating each day, with 30 mins lunch. There is an on-call rota for evenings and weekends. We are also happy to receive applications from part-time candidates.
Salary up to £23,795.20.
