Job Title: Plumber (NHS Band 5)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM

About the Role
As a Plumber working within the NHS, you will be a key member of our Estates and Facilities team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and infrastructure across our healthcare sites. Your expertise will directly contribute to a safe and functional environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out planned preventative maintenance, inspections, and servicing of plumbing systems.
Diagnose and repair faults in heating, water, drainage, and sanitation systems.
Install new plumbing systems, including pipework, fixtures, and fittings.
Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and NHS standards.
Support emergency response efforts, including repairs to critical systems.
Maintain accurate documentation and records of work completed.Liaise effectively with other trades and departments to minimize disruption to services.
What We’re Looking For
NVQ Level 2/3 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification (essential).
Proven experience in a plumbing role, preferably in a commercial or healthcare setting.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including Legionella control.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
A proactive and professional approach to work.
