Are you an experienced HCPC registered Musculoskeletal (MSK) Physiotherapist looking for a new or additional role with career development opportunities? This role is part time working a total of 18 hours a week covering 3 prisons; HMP Oakwood (12 hours a week), HMP Drake Hall (2 hours a week) and HMP Stafford (4 hours a week). We are flexible on working days between Monday and Friday.
You will be responsible for assessing and treating a range of MSK pathologies with some complex and/or chronic presentations. You will need to demonstrate advanced MSK diagnostic and treatment skills, be able to work within the MDT and maintain records as an autonomous practitioner.
This is your opportunity to work as part of a forward thinking, innovative health care team, including GPs, nurses, pharmacists, podiatrists and mental health professionals, delivering high quality, best practice treatment. You will also form part of the wider MSK Health in Justice Team comprising of physiotherapists and podiatrists in immigration centres and prisons across the country.
Main duties of the job
You will be closely supported and mentored by our Clinical Lead, and this combined with our well-developed appraisal system, in-service training and funding for external clinical courses, you will be provided with an excellent supportive learning environment to continue your professional development.
With proven post-registration experience of assessing and treating MSK conditions in an outpatient setting you must have excellent communication and organisational skills and be willing to learn and develop.
