We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to play a vital role in providing support at our Mid Sussex Recovery Service.

Annual Salary: £25,529 per annum, pro rata - with additional payment for sleep in shifts. £50.25
Hours: 30 hours per week

Project Details:
Oak House & Maple Lodge is a 14-bed registered recovery service for clients with mental health issues. Clients reside at Oak House for a period of between 2-5 years.
In all our services we do not provide personal care you will be expected to administer medication, but full training will be provided.
About the role:
The Support Worker will ensure that the day-to-day running of the service is carried out efficiently and effectively. This will involve dispensing medication, they will support clients to develop and build on their existing living skills, to become more independent. Staff work in conjunction with other professionals to equip clients with the skills and motivation to become more independent and better able to manage their mental health.
Key Responsibilities:
* To provide support within a prescribed location/service, as defined in your terms and conditions of employment.
* To support clients and/or staffing team to successfully deliver agreed service/project objectives.
* To provide practical and/or emotional assistance and support to clients.
* To plan and co-ordinate a programme of activities and evaluate this with clients to ensure it meets their personal goals and aspirations.
* To carry out client needs assessments.
Person Specification:
To be successful in the role of Support Worker you will need to have great communication skills and be committed to the values of the organisation. Some of the key skills and experience you will need to bring with you include:
* Experience of providing emotional and practical support to vulnerable clients with complex needs.
* Experience developing structured and person-centred support plans in collaboration with clients.
* How mental health issues can intersect and impact a client’s everyday life.
* Ability to work with a strengths-based approach to motivate and empower clients.
* Experience of working in Health and Social care setting within the Mental Health services.
