Responsibilities
We are seeking to appoint an excellent fixed-term Lecturer in Midwifery (maternity cover) who has academic and teaching experience in the field, and who will make a significant contribution to our undergraduate, postgraduate, and CPD provision. The successful candidate will contribute to the development and delivery of innovative and engaging education across our pre- and post-registration programmes and modules.
The successful candidate will design and mark student assessments, supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertation work, and act as personal tutor to students. They will undertake department administrative duties and contribute to staff and student events and meetings. There will be opportunities for personal and professional development.
Person Specification
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver high-quality and engaging teaching across our midwifery and perinatal health programmes and modules, tailored to the diverse needs of our learners, and informed by research, scholarship, and professional experience. Candidates must be registered with the NMC as Midwife and should possess an honours degree and experience in teaching and supporting student learning.
